Manufacturing of Acrylic Parts
An automobile accessories client contracted Western Saw Inc. to perform precise laser cutting of custom materials in large volume. The client provided large sheets of acrylic of different types and thicknesses varying 1.5mm to 4mm, as well as 2D sketches of desired items. These sketches were converted to CNC programming, using robust nesting software, with which a specially equipped laser used to transform the raw material into sleek parts ready to be thermal formed by the client.
